General Ledger Accountant

We have two positions as a General Ledger Accountant one is on an Interim/ contracting base (three months) and the other one is permanent.

The accounting department is responsible for the complete Financial Administration including the statuary reporting as well as the monthly group reporting. The main focus is the Treasury Accounting.

This includes the valuation and accounting of financial instruments and the Hedge Accounting of derivatives. The tasks are performed for two financing entities and two holding entities.

Responsibilities:

You will be working in a small international team, reporting directly to the Head of Accounting:

• As General Ledger Accountant you will be responsible for the monthly closing procedure for
• one or two entire entities within IFRS group reporting
• Reconcile the automatic treasury postings (majority of journal entries)
• Operate subledgers on a daily basis (minority of journal entries): Subledger Bank: daily bank reconciliation & basic cash management, Subledger Accounts Payable: processing of creditor invoices and payments

Requirements:

• You have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration with major Accounting
• You have at least 5 years of experience in an Accounting department
• You understand very well the basic accounting principles, accounting concepts and accounting terminology
• You are very well experienced with SAP FI
• You are fluent in English, both written and spoken
• You are familiar with the concept of multiple ledger (Dutch GAAP and IFRS)
• You have experience with financial instruments and derivatives
• You have excellent skills in Excel
