Investment Risk Officer - Trade monitoring (Investment Guideline Compliance Associate)

For our client (located in The Hague) I am looking for an investment guideline compliance Associate to join the Asset Management Guideline Oversight ("AMGO") group within the global Risk team (global team, stand alone role in The Hague). As an independent control group, AMGO is responsible for ensuring that investment portfolios remain compliant with regulatory, prospectus, client and internal guidelines. You have experience in risk/pre post trade monitoring.

 Primary Responsibilities 

  • Reviewing, interpreting and summarizing investment guidelines for new mandates.
  • Ensuring proper restriction coding in Firm's order management systems; test new and existing investment restrictions, and ensure timely implementation of applicable investment guideline updates.
  • Participating in control and supervisory related projects, initiatives and committees.
  • Administering additional control and monitoring functions, such as monitoring of trade allocations to ensure allocation fairness.
  • Continuously broaden the scope of the current supervisory process; implement control procedure enhancements where necessary.
  • Representing the AMGO team in client due diligence presentations, as may be required
  • Maintaining a high degree of visibility within the organization

 Qualifications & Previous Experience  

  • BS / BA degree. Accounting, Business or Finance is preferred
  • At least 3-5  years of experience in an Asset Management firm, with any of the following Investment Compliance, Fund Compliance, Operations, Accounting or Audit experience is  highly desirable
  • Familiarity with UCITS, AIFMD, and 1940 Act regulations preferred
  • Experience utilizing Aladdin and/or Charles River highly preferred
  • Technical understanding of investment products and financial instruments, and the aggregation of exposures to perform compliance testing
  • Fund Compliance, front office trading, Operations or Audit experience also highly desirable
